Introduction/objectives: Proactiva Open Arms is a non-profit organisation whose main objective is rescuing refugees who attempt to reach Europe by sea. The helpers are not only specialists in the monitoring and rescue of refugee boats but, through their organisation, would also like to draw attention to the frequently still suppressed injustice.

Proactiva is not only dependent on financial donations and support from helpers, but also requires the corresponding equipment for sea rescue. The ERNA Foundation has therefore decided to donate two jet skis to the organisation that have been stationed in Lesbos. This makes it possible to save numerous lives every day. Even if, given the extent of the disaster, this may be only "a drop in the bucket", this help directly benefits those people who will be saved from drowning.
